Dog Park

Today we took Lorna Doone to John Rudy Park (conveniently 7 minutes from our apartment) and let her off-leash in the small-dog (under 30lbs) area of Canine Meadows. She enthusiastically greeted people, but was shy when interacting with other dogs. She did chase a Mini Jack Russell for a bit, but they left soon after we arrived and it seemed she didn't find another friend. Other owners encouraged us by saying it took a few times before their dog began to really get comfortable. If the weather is nice again tomorrow, we'll go again. :)

Finally a Toy Lorna Likes!

Mary's co-worker Rita brought in a toy (and a whole package of Beggin' Strips!) for Lorna yesterday. The toy is a soft starfish shaped squeaker that reminds me of Patrick from SpongeBob. To the surprise of both Mary and myself Lorna loves it!! She gnawed on and tossed around this toy for a long time. The starfish is even missing an arm because of her enthusiastic chewing! Thanks so much Rita!!
